This widely known disappearance is one of history's greatest mysteries: What happened to Amelia Earhart? During her second attempt to become the first ever female to circumnavigate the world, she mysteriously went missing during the last leg of her flight, between Lae, Papua New Guinea, and the Howland Islands.

The disappearance of the Roanoke Colony is one of history's greatest mysteries. Over 112 colonists just vanished from eastern North Carolina in the 1580s, only leaving behind one word, carved into a tree: Croatoan. To this day, the fate of the Roanoke colonists remains a mystery.

D.B. Cooper remains the only unsolved hijacking of all time: on November 24, 1971, he hijacked Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 305, flying from Portland, Oregon, to Seattle, Washington, and managed to escape with $200,000 in cash ($1.5 million in 2024). After his crime, he was never seen again.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 (also known as MH370) was an international flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing, China that went missing on March 8, 2014, and the plane has never been found. It remains the biggest aviation mystery of all time.
