Happy Valentine's Day! There's a lot of news today, so let's get to it.

First of all, there was another mass shooting last night at Michigan State University, killing three and injuring five others. The 43-year-old suspect has now died due to a self-inflicted gunshot, and had no relation to the school. Over 19,000 scared students were forced to hide in their dorms and take shelter during the campus sweep, as hundreds of armed policemen searched the grounds for the attacker.

On another note, Cyclone Gabrielle struck New Zealand hard today, killing three people and destroying homes, schools, and businesses. In fact, they even declared a state of emergency, which has only happened two other times in its history. Over 225,000 people are still without power, and New Zealand is now starting their recovery from this massive storm.

Lastly, if you see flowers or trees blooming early, especially on the East Coast, make sure to appreciate this early spring! Temperatures in the east have been much warmer than normal lately, sparking early blossoms from various plants. Just know that this early bloom is likely to continue and expand over the next month.
