Amid the conflict in Israel and Palestine between the IDF and Hamas, they have finally come to terms on a temporary ceasefire in exchange for hostages. Hamas has released 24 out of the 50 promised hostages, while Israel released 42 Palestinian prisoners. Hamas originally released 17 people, but a delay in the second hostage release led to 7 more people being freed later on. However, United States President Joe Biden expressed disappointment yesterday after no American hostages were freed, and he is unsure when they will be released. Hopefully, the hostages are released soon and the conflict is resolved to stop the suffering of more people.
