The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced that they are planning to replace all lead pipes across the country by 2033, which will be a huge project. The installation of new lead pipes was banned in 1986, but there are over 9.2 million of them under the surface that can still cause health issues. Lead poisoning causes symptoms like headaches, stomach, joint, and muscle cramps, irritability, fatigue, and trouble sleeping, and it can lead to neurological issues if left untreated. Thankfully, the new project will now take action, phasing out all lead pipes in 10 years.
